Champs City embark on a hunt for exceptional football talents

Champs City effectively kicked of its scouting for exceptional male football talents today at Aninri Local government headquarters at the zonal inter house sports programme organised by Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board for pupils in primary schools. Pupils selected through this extensive scouting exercise will join Champs City Academy also known as Junior Champs.

Talent recruitment

“We are ready to visit as many centres as possible across the South east region and some parts of Delta state in search of exceptional football talents,” says Champs City President, Odinaka Iloh. “It doesn’t matter the background of the talents, our primary consideration is the pupils’ demonstrable talent quality. All the scouted talents from various centres will be invited for a final tryout in Enugu from August 25-30, 2024,” says Odinaka.

I and my colleagues are delighted to support Champs City in any way possible to have access to the abundant sports talents we have in Enugu state,” says Mrs Antonia Odika, sports desk officer, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board.

Champs City will admit the 30 finalists chosen at the end of the final tryout into its academy and grant them scholarship into St. Patrick’s College, Emene, Enugu to pursue their secondary school education while engaging in football training.
